Even as there are projects for members of Brush Creek to reach out beyond ourselves through the work of the Parish Life and Outreach Ministry Teams, I invite and encourage you to also take advantage of other opportunities to serve and be in fellowship with the people of Penn-Zion’s in the various ongoing mission projects and events already established and listed here.  You do not have to participate in all of the activities or projects, but are asked to pray to God how and where your gifts, talents, and passion may best be used for the furtherance of the Gospel in our area and in the world through the joint efforts of our cooperative ministry together.  Together, we can make a bigger difference.

If you have any questions about these projects or events, please contact Gwen Steiner at or at 412-829-1174.

As part of our cooperative ministry relationship, members are encouraged to participate, as you are able to, in the ongoing mission projects already begun through the work of the people at Penn-Zion’s.  Together, we can make a larger difference.

Team Hope provides an opportunity to go out into our communities and be involved in a service activity together.

Penn-Zion’s has an ongoing designation as the donation recipient for the Just Between Friends sale at the Monroeville Convention Center.  Last Fall they were able to reach out to over 2 dozen agencies and the families/individuals they serve through this event by distributing children’s clothes, toys and related items.  We are looking for drivers to help pick up these children/youth clothes and related items. Watch for details to follow in the bulletins.

Penn-Zion’s continues to offer/subscribe to an online resource for Christian growth.  The website is called RightNowMedia which provides hundreds of videos for all people of all ages.  There are music videos, devotional videos, Christian education videos for all age levels, leadership videos, and so forth.  Pastor Steiner is able to run online Bible studies and discussions through this resource, or anyone who is signed up can host their own Bible study/discussion with friends and family, or simply use it for their own private devotions.
Signing up is easy to do.  Please give your full email address to Pastor Steiner or Maria Stampahar and Pastor Steiner will send an invitation through the website to your email. (Please make sure it does not end up in spam!)  As you receive your email invitation, you will be given instructions on how to set up your own account access to the website (set your own password, etc.)  You must do this in order to be able to use the website or participate in studies/discussions online.  Pastor Steiner is the one who controls the list particular to our congregations.  You are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to grow in your Christian faith, particularly if your time constraints do not allow you to participate in Christian growth activities at church.
